Well…. I can say that Chick-Fil-A of Statesville NC did it again for the children and especially the princesses of the Statesville area.  Once a year they offer a princess night and go all out to make it a magical evening of fun.  I had the pleasure of escorting my 3 year old granddaughter to the event and oh what fun we had!  We arrived early to beat the crowd and was just the second ride out on the horse drawn carriage rides provided by the Carolina Carriage Company.  My little princess felt just like Cinderella as they cruised around the parking area in near perfect weather.  Then it was inside through the castle doors to a beautifully decorated interior with pink fluff everywhere.

Next stop was to the finger nail station to put on some sparkly pink polish and a purple flower sticker.  Just like the pros!  Then it was off to the makeup station to get some eye shadow and pink lipstick – compliments of a local Mary Kay consultant.  After spotting some friendly princesses in the play area it was off to the play gym to get some of her energy out – whew, it was hot in that room!  After grabbing a kids meal and having dinner with Grammie and Grampie, we headed over to meet the real Princesses and get their autographs.  We met Miss Statesville 2012 – Jordan Rager, Miss Statesville’s Outstanding Teen – Kristalyn Gill, 2012 Miss Statesville’s Outstanding Teen’s Carolina Princess-Regan Robinson and 2012 Miss Statesville’s Carolina Princess-Maddie Love.  They all graciously took the time to sign a personalized photo with a special note to Jazleena (Thanks girls!)

But wait, the night was not over yet.  After giving hugs to not one, but two Chick-Fil-A cows, getting her bright pink carnation and a fluffy purple tiara, it was back outside for another carriage ride.  Even though we had to wait in a line this time, there was lots of opportunity to meet a new friend and play in the grass.  Finally at 8:00, we headed home and I will say……This was one tired princess that went right to sleep.  Thanks again to Chick-Fil-A of Statesville for always having fun activities for the children and always stepping up to the plate for your community.  Those that put their food receipt in the box helped earn funds for the Carolina Princess Scholarship Program- what a great cause for those beautiful girls that are such great role models for our community.

I have always loved visiting Chick-fil-A of both Statesville and Mooresville because of their excellent customer service.  I never wait in a line, the food is always good and hot, they go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need before you sit down and there is always someone nearby checking to make sure you are satisfied.  Those extra touches make a big difference when you decide where to eat.  Keep up the good work!

I also want to thank Chick-Fil-A of both Statesville and Mooresville for sponsoring one of the home sites for the 2012 Realtor’s® Care Day.   This event is put on by the charitable arm of our local Realtor® Association (Charlotte Regional Realtors® Association and the Housing Opportunity Foundation).  This will be the 4th year that local Realtors® get together to help their community by doing minor repairs on the exterior of 23 homes in the area.  Over 600 volunteers come out for a day of painting, roofing, landscaping and much more to help a community member in need.  Without the help of donations from companies like Chick-Fil-A, this project would not be possible.  For a complete list of our sponsors, check out our site.  I have had the pleasure of being a site captain for two years, site volunteer for one year and this year, I am on the core committee as one of the food coordinators.  This is a huge project and one we are proud to say will be duplicated across the state of New Jersey as they will be using our brand to launch their own Realtors® Care Day.  It is our hope this will be a national day in the near future and one we are very proud of.  Thanks again to the all the sponsors!
