Independence Day Celebrations around Statesville, Iredell County and Lake Norman NC

Firework show high in the night sky
Are you searching for Independence Day Celebrations in the Statesville and Lake Norman areas.  The Statesville Real Estate Guide has put together a comprehensive list of activities and festivals to help you celebrate all week long.  From Troutman NC to Charlotte NC, you will find fun for the whole family with parades, festivals and fireworks.  As always, enjoy the holiday but most important, stay safe.  I have included a link to some great tips for keeping your fireworks fun and safe from the Iredell County Fire Marshall

8th Annual Troutman Independence Day Parade:   Saturday June 30th 11:00, Main Street Troutman.

Enjoy an old fashion, small town parade. Help celebrate our country’s Independence by either viewing or participating in this totally free event with over 150 units in the parade including floats, music, marching units, church groups, civic organizations, scout troops, motorcycles, military units, horses, submarines, classic and antique cars, fire engines, beauty queens, re-enactment groups, politicians, WWII vehicles, trains, planes, and many more surprises. We are proud to honor Tuskegee Airmen as our Grand Marshals.

Troutman 2012 Independence Day Festival:  Saturday June 30th from 5 –9 p.m. with fireworks at 9:00 p.m.  Iredell County Fairgrounds in Troutman

Come out and enjoy a full day of activities with the parade, the Town of Troutman Independence Celebration festival, and ending with a breathtaking fireworks display.  Enjoy live music by Outlaw 21(Rock) and Coming up Brass (Beach) plus great food and fun for the kids.

Signal Hill Mall – Statesville

Queens Landing – Lake Norman:   Wednesday, July 4th 7:00 p.m.  Fireworks at 9:00 p.m.

Enjoy fireworks over the lake from your boat or if you prefer land, bring your chairs to the Melanie L. Williams Amphitheatre at Queens Landing and listen to the sounds of Joey Bishop and the News.  If you would like even more, how about dinner and a cruise aboard the Lady of the Lake or the Catawba Queen!  What a great way to celebrate the evening.

Lake Norman Yacht Club – Mooresville: June 30th and July 1st

As host, Lake Norman Yacht Club, Mooresville, NC invites you to the 2012 Independence Day Regatta. We promise you good sailboat racing, dinner, entertainment and, of course, “FIREWORKS”. Come and join the fun. Camping at the club is available. No pets allowed.

Trump National Golf Club – Mooresville: July 4th (at the Point)

This will be the biggest and brightest in the area for sure. The show at Trump National Golf Club of Charlotte will by far be the largest in the county. The show will be the first at the golf club since Businessman Donald Trump purchased it in Mooresville, and the mortars and shells for the show are so large the Fire Marshal’s office is requiring New York-based BAY Fireworks Pyrotechnic Engineering to notify the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport that night so airplanes can be directed on another flight path.  So look out for this one and be ready for some boat traffic!

Lake Norman YMCA- Mooresville: July 3rd 5-10 p.m. United States flag and two fireworks

FUN, FAMILY & FIREWORKS
Celebrate with fun, family and fireworks at the largest Independence Day celebration in the Lake Norman area – the Lowe’s YMCA July 3 Summer Celebration! We invite the entire community to join us for family fun, kids games, inflatables, live music and entertainment, vendors and, of course, fireworks presented by Valspar Paint.
IGNITE BRIGHTER POSSIBILITIES
The July 3 Summer Celebration is more than just a fireworks show, it is an event that helps the Y impact the Mooresville community. Proceeds from this event help the Y build a healthier community, improve children’s literacy skills in Y Readers, and provide cancer survivors with free wellness classes through LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA. All proceeds directly impact the local community through the Lowe’s YMCA Community Support Campaign.

Events for Charlotte and surrounding areas:  Here is a great list for the Charlotte region that includes:

Coca-Cola 4th of July Festival
